- W2350862611 abstract "Objective To study the relationshiop between the mental health status and the coping styles of the outpatients at psychological clinics in general hospitals.Methods 124 outpatients at psychological clinics were investigated by using Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90) and Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ).Results ① The outpatients' score of the passive coping style and active coping style were significantly lower than the general population.② The average score and all the factor scores of SCL-90 of the outpatients' were significantly higher than the Chinese norm's.③The average scores and the nine symptom factor scores of SCL-90 had correlation with the scores of passive coping style(r=0.218～0.361).④ Showed that the passive coping style has close connection with the mental health(R2=0.179),some negative coping styles such as consoling themselves,trying to forget the unhappy things,illusions,waiting for miracles have negative influence upon mental health.Conclusion The mental health status of the outpatients at psychological clinics is lower than the normal group,the negative coping style is an important influencing factor upon their mental health." @default.
