It is a product resulted in at the advanced stage of cognitive development, idea in application and sublimation. Mankind recognition undergoes three stages in its development: namely, perception, understanding, reason, and only at the stage of reason can idea be formed and a cognitive foundation be provided for the taking shape of belief. Reason and understanding differ greatly; understanding takes the form of concepts, judgement, and reasoning, only capable of gaining one-sided knowledge, only leading people to a metaphysical mode of thinking, a mode of thinking that simply takes yes as yes and no as no; whereas reason is built on the basis of synthesized and unified, manifold prescribed demonstration by logic, so it is the reconstruction of reason in terms of holism and concreteness, supplying people with wisdom and idea, and with a mode of dialectical thinking. Therefore, synthesis of idea and various links in practice (strategy for action, value- orientedness, man's will, etc.) would cause idea to transform into belief as man's spiritual mainstay." @default.
