- W2351369505 abstract "Thirty species of trematodes of Paramphistomidae belonging to 3 subfamiliesand 8 genera were collected.in 13 provinces of China during the years 1955--1965.Among them 9 species are new to science and 7 are new records. These new speciesare briefly characterized as follows: 1. Calicophoron zhejiangense sp. nov. (fig. 1) The new species differs from the closely related C. paillosum Stiles et Goldber-ger, 1910 in having the caeca with more spirals(6--8 versus 4--5), and in havinga ratio of oral sucker to body-length of 1:9.5 (8.2--10.2) versus 1:6.5 and ratio ofacetabulum to body-length of 1:3.3--4.0 versus 1:3.0. Host: Bubalus bubalis (Linnaeus). Habitat,Rumen. Locality: Zhejing. 2. Calicophoron wuchengense sp. nov.(fig. 2) The .new species is closely related to'C. calicophoron (Fischoeder, 1909) and C.cawliorchis (Stiles ef Goldberger, 1909), but differs from both in having its suckersand genital, atrium of the Calicophorun type, the ratio of acetabulum to body lengthbeing 1:3.1--3.6 and that of oral sucker to body length being 1:8.5--9.5, and thetestes situated side by side or diagonally. Host: Bubalus bubalis (Linnaeus). Habitat: Rumen. Locality: Jiangxi. 3. Paramphistomum procapri sp. nov.(fig.3) This new worm is quite similar to P. leydeni Nasmark. 1937 and P. scotiae Will-mott, 1950, but duffers from them in the. shape of caeca, the structure of oral su-cker and acetabulum, and the ratio of or al sucker to body length and that ofacetabulum to body length. Host. Procapra picticaudata Hodagson. Habitat: Rumen. Locality: Xizang. 4. Paramphistomum pseudocuonum sp. nov. (fig.4) P. pseudocuonum differs from P. cuonum Bhalerao, 1937 in the absence of oeso- phageal bulb, in having the caeca extending to acetabulum and Laurer's canal cros-sing the excretory vesicle, and in the ratio of oral sucker to body length being 1:16. Host: Canis familaris Linnaeus. Habilat: Caecus. Locality: Sichuan. 5. Cotylophoron xiangjiangense sp. nov. (fig. 5) This worm differs from any other species in the genus Cotylophoron in the struc-ture of oral sucker, acetabulum and genital suker, and in the ratio of oral sucker togenital sucker. Host: Bubalus bubalis(Linnaeus). Habitat: Rumen. Locality: Hunan. 6. Cotylophoron guangdongense sp. nov. (fig. 6). This worm is closely similar to C. cotylophorum (Fischoeder, 1901), but differsfrom the latter in the size of body, the diameter of the oral sucker, and the ratio ofacetabulum to length of body, and the ratio of oral sucker to genital sucker. Host: Bubalus bubalis (Linnaeus), Bos taurus domesticus Gmelin. Habitat: Rumen. Locality: Guangdong. 7. Gastrothylax zhonghuaensis sp. nov. (fig. 7) v. The new species differs from G. crumienifer (Creplin, 1847) Otto, 1896 and G.glandiformis Yamaguti, 1939 in the following features: the body being 6.3--8.48 mmlong, the caeca reaching to posterior edge of testes, and the testes elliptical and un-lobed. Host: Bos taurus domesticus Gmelin; Bubalus bubalis (Linnaeus). Habilat: Rumen. Locality: Jiangxi and Guangdong. 8. Fischoederius boyangensis sp. nov.(fig.8). This worm is very similar to Fischoederius cobboldi(Poirier, 1883) and F. elon-gatus (Poirier, 1883), but differs from both in the.size of body, in the structure ofgenital atrium, in the shape of caeca, and in the arrangement of testes. Host: Bos taurus domesticus Gmelin; Bubalus bubalis(Linnaeus). Habitat: Rumen. Locality: Jiangxi. 9. Fischoederius compressus sp. nov.(fig 9). This new worm is similar to Fischoederius elongatus (Poirier,1883) but differsfrom the latter in the size of body, in the structure of genital atrium and acetabu-lum, and in the position. of testis. Host: Hydropotes inermis inermis Swinhoe. Habitat: Rumen. Locality: Jiangsu." @default.
