- W2351376004 abstract "Objective:To investigate the clinic and pathological features in patients of IgA nephropathy(IgAN) associated with psoriasis vulgaris. Methodology:Twenty patients with psoriasis vulgaris, who diagnosed as IgAN by renal biopsy, were included in this retrospective study. Their clinic and pathological manifestations were analyzed. Results: They were fifteen males and five females, mean age 18～54(31.9±10.7) years old. The mean history of psoriasis vulgaris was 8.7 years. The duration between psoriasis and nephropathy was from 2 to 306 months (mean 95.0±71.1 months). The mean history of renal lesion was 8.73±9.56 months(0.3～36 months). In clinic picture, four cases presented edema and hypertension, and sixteen had asymptomatic hematuria and (or) proteinuria. Three cases revealed high serum IgA, and nine showed the decrease of serum complement C3. In pathological examination, thirteen patients presented focal segmental glomerulosclerosis and the others showed mild to moderate mesangial proliferative lesions. The segmental cellular crescents were observed in five cases, and segmental loop necrosis in three cases. The severe chronic tubulointerstitial lesions were in six patients, and vascular involvement, including arteriolar hyalinosis and incrassation, was in thirteen patients. Conclusion:IgAN existed in patients with psoriasis. These patients presented hematuria and (or) proteinuria. We recommend routine urinalysis, careful examination of kidney function and a wider application of renal biopsy in psoriatic patients." @default.
