- W2351694174 abstract "The equimolar AlCrNbTiV high entropy alloy,non-equimolar AlCrNb2Ti2V0.5 high entropy alloy and AlCrNb5TiVSi alloy were prepared by non-consumable vacuum arc-melting furnace.The investigations of microstructure,phase composition and element distribution of the three alloys were carried out by OM,XRD,SEM and EDS methods.The result indicated that AlCrNbTiV alloy and AlCrNb2Ti2V0.5alloy had only high entropy solid solution phase with BCC structure,and no intermetallic compounds were formed.The AlCrNb5TiVSi alloy had two phases including BCC solid solution and IMC of Nb5Si3due to high electro negativity of Si,although its mixing entropy reached a high level.Beside that the elements distribution of AlCrNbTiV and AlCrNb2Ti2V0.5in single grain analysis revealed that,under high entropy effect,the content fluctuations of elements of these two alloys in single grain were very small,their average deviations below 2at%.But there was a very weak trend existed in the two alloys analyzed,for example the contents of the element Nb were high in center of grain but low on the border,and the contents trend of Cr were just the opposite.It implied that the effects of element melting points and atomic radius cannot be ignored in solidification process." @default.
