- W2352243615 abstract "Objective To explore the effect of point massage on anxiety,vital signs and postoperative recovery of patients undergoing elective operation on abdominal region.Methods 91 patients undergoing selective surgery were divided voluntarily to the experimental group(n=45)and the control group(n=46).The control group received admission and preoperative routine nursing and health education,while the experimental group received massage on the points of Fengchi,Yintang,Neiguan,Hegu,Xinyu,Jianshi 1～3 min,twice a day from the third day of hospitalization to the morning for operation.The anxiety scores at admission and one day before operation,blood pressure,pulse,respiratory differences at admission and the morning for operation and the postoperative recovery were compared between the groups.Results(1)The anxiety scores of the two groups one day before operation were higher than those at admission,but that of the experimental group lower than that of control one day before operation(P0.05).(2)The blood pressure and pulse of the control group increased sharplier than those of the experimental group(P0.05).There was no difference in respiratory difference between the morning for operation and at admission(P0.05).(3)The bedside movement and the recovery of gastrointestinal function in the experimental group were significantly earlier than those in the control group(P0.01),but the differences in stitch removal time and hospitalization duration were insignificant(P0.05).Conclusion Point massage can relieve anxiety of patients undergoing elective operation on abdominal region,keep preoperative blood pressure,pulse stable and promote the postoperative recovery." @default.
