- W2352782010 abstract "Objective To investigate the expressions of Skp2 and P27Kip1 in cervical carcinogenesis, and to discuss the relationship between the expression of Skp2 and P27Kip1.Methods Immunohisto-chemistry was performed in the 10 normal cervical tissue and 43 CIN and 34 cervical carcinoma to evaluate the expression alteration of the Skp2,P27Kip1 proteins.RT-PCR was performed in fresh normal cervical tissue and cervical carcinoma to detect the expression of Skp2 mRNA.Result RT-PCR analysis showed that Skp2 mRNA was overexpressed in carcinoma tissue. The positive rate of Skp2 showed an increasing tendency in cervical carcinogenesis. The expression of P27Kip1 was the highest in normal cervical epithelium and tend to decrease with cervical diseases progression.Correlation existed between the expression of Skp2,P27Kip1 and lymph node metastasis(P0.05).No significant relationships were found between the expression of Skp2,P27Kip1 and other clinicopathological features, such as age, clinic grade, clinic stage, etc. The expression of P27 Kip1 correlated with Skp2 expression and it was negative correlation(P0.05).Conclusions Overexpression of Skp2 and inactivation of P27Kip1 lead to disproportion of cell proliferation cycle, which play an important role in cervical carcinogenesis, and they might be considered as new prediction of early diagnosis, clinical biological behavior and prognosis of cervical carcinoma." @default.
