- W2353219608 abstract "The rare earth(RE: Gd,Y and Tb) complexes of 8-hydroxyquinoline(8-HQ) were synthesized.The organic/inorganic hybrid composites,RE-HQ/hydroxyapatite(HAP) were directly prepared via the wet methods.The composites were characterized by means of SEM,XRD and IR.At the same time,the antibacterial activities of all the complexes were tested by using minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)and minimum bactericidal concentration(MBC).The results show that the three composites are 50 nm～60 nm in average size and exhibit stronger bacteriostatic activities against Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus) and Escherichia coli(E.coli).They all show higher antibacterial activity against S.aureus than against E.coli.The antibacterial efficacies of the three composites are increased in the order: Tb-HQ/HAP Y-HQ/HAP Gd-HQ/HAP." @default.
