- W2353521183 abstract "The heat-reactive surfactant-free polyacrylate/epoxysiloxane emulsion as surface size was prepared by the seed copolymerization,using polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) as dispersing agent,water-soluble epoxy resin as the crossliking agent.The factors affecting the synthesis were investigated and the optimum reaction conditions were described as below: seed polymerization,temperature 85℃,time 3.5 h,w(MAA)=8%～10%,n(BA)/n(St)=1～1.2,w(PVA)=4%,w(WEP) =2%.The paper treated with the diluted resultant emulsion with 2.5% solid content (mass fraction) obtained good properties,the sizing value was more than 13.6 seconds,the surfacee strength,tensile strength and folding endurance were 3.4m/s,43N and 46 times respectively.The observation of SEM showed that the fibers and fines were well bonded together and formed a compact structure." @default.
