- W2354395191 abstract "Objective To study a applicable and practicable method for determination of the volume of fresh air change flow(FACF) in air conditioned carriage Methods The volume of FACF was estimated on the basis of the association between the concentrations of carbon dioxide(CO 2) in air of carriage and the volume of FACF in the airtight carriage and the volume of expiratory air per hour from an adult person The estimation formula was verified by National Sanitary Standard,meanwhile the situation of supplying FACF was assessed by the estimated volume of FACF and the actural volume of FACF Results There was a significant negative correlation between the estimated volumes of FACF and the CO 2 concentrations determined during different periods in a same type of carriages ( r=-0 979 ) The estimated volumes of FACF obtained by this method approached the volumes of estimated FACF based on the CO 2 concentration ruled by the National Sanitary Standard The comparision of the estimated volume of FACF by this method with the acturally determined percentage of the volume of FACF taking up the total volume of air ventilation in site showed that the supplement of fresh air should be improved further more in air conditioned carriage Conclusion The estimation formula based on the human metabolic index and the CO 2 concentration in air of carriage reflected the actural volume of FACF required by passengers objectively,so it was tenable in thearetically The assessment according to sanitary standard verified that the estimation formula was acceptable This estimation method in view of simplifying the determinative process of the volume of FACF was more simple and practical" @default.
