- W2356300722 abstract "The compensation for executives in state-owned monopoly industries differs greatly among different industries and within the industry; the compensation for executives in monopoly industries is higher than that in non-monopolistic stateowned enterprises and private industries; the compensation for executives and the internal gap in the eastern area is higher than that in the Midwest regions of China; the SOE executives in monopoly industries hold lower rate of stock as well as a relatively small amount of stock revenue. There also exist the following issues,such as the hidden benefits,singular salary structure,defective salary information disclosure system and lower correlation to business performance. Therefore,the government should strengthen supervision and macro-guidance,improve the SOE executive salary information disclosure mechanism,link remuneration to corporate performance,and optimize the structure of the remuneration. These are major exploration directions for innovation and improvement for the regulation system of executives' compensation in state-owned monopoly industries." @default.
