- W2356352281 abstract "Objective To investigate the relationship between dyslipidemia and diabetic retinopathy in non－ insulin dependent diabetes millitus(NIDDM).Method Of 140 NIDDM patients comparied with 58 normal control subjects,the fasting serum total cholesterol(TCH),triglyceride(TG),high－ density lipoprotein cholestrol(HDL－ C),low－ density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL－ C),very－ low density lipoprotein cholesterol(VLDL－ C),apolipoproteinA1(ApoA1),apolipoprotein B(ApoB) and A1/B were detemined,the relationships between them and the severity of DR were also studied.Result TCH,TG,ApoB,LDL－ C,VLDL－ C were signficantly higher in NIDDM than those in normal control but HDL－ C,ApoA1 and A1/B lower.LDL－ C and HDL－ C increased respenctively as the progression of DR.Linear correlation analysis revealed that the severity of DR was directly correlated with LDL.Conclusion In order to avoid progression of DR caused by dyslipidemia blood glucose and blood lipid should be controlled in NIDDM patients." @default.
