• W2356523432 abstract "Objective:To investigate the association between HLA class Ⅰ and Ⅱ alleles and variations in serum leptin levels in Northern Chinese Han patients with psoriasis vulgaris(PV).Methods:The polymerase chain reaction-sequence-specific primer(PCR-SSP) method was used to analyze the distribution of HLA-A,B,Cw,DRB1 and DQB1 alleles in 91 patients with PV and 102 healthy controls.Serum leptin levels(ng/ml) were measured by using radioimmunoassay(RIA).Results:(1)There was a significant(P0.001) increase of leptin level between patients with PV(7.63±4.44 ng/ml) and normal controls(5.03±2.72 ng/ml).In female and male patients,the leptin levels were significantly(P=0.004 and P0.001,respectively) increased compared with female normal controls and male controls.(2)HLA-A010x(Pc=0.039 4),A300x(Pc=0.012 9),B570x(Pc=0.013 7),Cw0602(Pc=0.000 9),Cw060x(Pc1×10~(-4)),DRB10701/0702(Pc=0.001 2) and DQB10201(Pc=0.005 6) alleles were significantly increased in PV patients.HLA-Cw040x(Pc=0.018 8) allele was negatively associated with PV.(3)The serum leptin levels in male PV patients with HLA-DRB115,DRB10701/0702 alleles were significantly higher(P=0.040,P=0.039,respectively),and the serum leptin levels in female patients with HLA-A010x,A24,Cw040x,DRB115,DQB10301 alleles were significantly higher(P=0.043,0.005,0.004,0.006,0.044,respectively) when compared with those in male and female normal controls,respectively.Conclusion:(1)HLA-A*010x,A*300x,B*570x,Cw*0602,Cw*060x,DRB1*0701/0702 and DQB1*0201 alleles may be susceptibility genes of PV or may be in close linkage with the susceptibility genes,while HLA-Cw*040x allele seem to have a protective effect against the development of PV in Northern Chinese Han.(2)These results together suggest that HLA alleles are involved in modulating serum leptin levels and might be predisposition alleles for PV in the studied population." @default.
