- W2356551059 abstract "Objective:To establish an analytical method by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR) for identification of the bear bile powder and other powder from bile of swine, chicken and ox and compare the antitussive, anticonvulsant and antipyretic effects for alternative basis of bear bile products.Methods:FI-IR was used to identify the spectral characteristics of bile power prepared from bear, swine, chickens and oxen. The animal models with cough, convulsion and fever were induced by ammonia, pentylenetetrazol and dry yeast, respectively, and medicated with the four different preparation to determine the antitussive, anticonvulsant and antipyretic effects.Results:FI-IR spectrum of bear bile powder was almost identical to that of chicken, with spectral characteristics of amide(-CO-NH-) peaks at 1 656 cm-1(s) and 1 557 cm-1(s),roughly equal intensity, strong double peak of-SO3H at 1 188 cm-1(broad peak,s)and 1 051 cm-1(s),T 1 188 cm-1/2 954 cm-1 and T 1 051 cm-1/1 188 cm-1 of about 1.0.Single FI-IR spectrum of the powder from porcine gall and ox bile or spectrum for the mixtures of the four were not totally or partially shown the features described above.Although the four kinds of bile powder had concurrent effects on relieving cough, convulsion and fever, chicken bile product appeared best antitussive, convulsion responded well to porcine gall powder, and bear bile preparation showed strongest antipyretic effect.Conclusions:FI-IR spectroscopic method can be used to identify the powder of bear,ox and swine bile with its simple performance, shortened analytic requirement and distinct features in identification, unfortunately, this approach seems incompetent for screening the powder of bear bile from that of chicken gall.In addition, cough, convulsion and fever may respond to the four agents, yet, the effect is slightly different." @default.
