- W2356877157 abstract "AIM To explore the effects of constant magnetic fields (CMF) on the proliferation of human umbilical arterial vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC). METHODS The VSMC of human umbilical artery which were cultured for 3～10 posterities were put into the CMFs with 10, 50 Gs for 48 h. The amount of VSMC proliferation was determined by MTT and 3H TdR incorporation method (A value and cpm value). We analyzed cell cycle by flow cytometry. RESULTS Under the CMFs of 10, 50 Gs, the amount of VSMC proliferation in test group 10 Gs (0.565±0.096 and 349±82)and 50 Gs (0.642±0.092 and 387±91) were significantly lower than those of the control group (0.716±0.048 and 427±86) ( P 0.05). Process of VSMC from static phase (G 0/G 1) to DNA synthetic(S)and mitotic phase (G 2/M) was held back. CONCLUSION The study demonstrates that CMFS of 10, 50 Gs can significantly inhibit the human VSMC proliferation. CMF may be a portent way to prevent and cure the coronary restenosis after PTCA." @default.
