- W2357036775 abstract "Objective To explore the genetic anomaly of stroke. A polymorphism at position C825T of the gene that encodes the G protein β3 subunit (GNB3) were analyzed in patients with stroke in Chongqing. Methods 72 patients with acute ischemic cerebrovascular disease, matched in pair according to sex and age, were divided into two groups : a test and a control . DNA was extracted from leukocytes, then the method, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), was used to amplify the aim gene, at the same time, the family history of EH was reviewed . Results Genotype distribution for the GNB3 C825T genotype was significantly different between patients (CC=0.32,CT=0.58,TT=0.10) and controls (CC=0.65,CT=0.32,χ 2=14.6, P 0.01). Logistic regression analysis showed that the 825T allele was associated with higher risk disposing stroke (OR=4.17,95%CI 1.71～10.15, P 0.01 ).Conclusion GNB3 825T allele is a risk factor for the pathogenesis of ischemic cerebrovascular disease in Chongqing.Genetic variation which results in the predisposition of hypertension is also results in the predisposition of stroke meanwhile ." @default.
