- W2357223871 abstract "Objective: To evaluate the physique status of 0～6 years old children o f Yunnan province. Methods: Z score was adopted. Results: There are some improve ment of 0～6 years children physique compared with that in 1992. The average inc idence of stunt was 26 7% , and has decreased 24 50%, the incidence of underwe ight was 12%, and has decreased 20 10 %. The incidence of emaciation was 3 7%, and has decreased 1 70 %. Nevertheless, it still remained a significant differe nce between city and countryside. Conclusion: Malnutrition is the main cause to influence child growth and development. It is suggested that a regular nutrition monitoring and nutrition improvement strategies can play a important role in im proving childrens nutrition status and stepping up childrens growth.[" @default.
