- W2357386725 abstract "Objective:To study the micro nodule of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by multi slice helical CT (MSCT) for increasing detection rate and decreasing recurrence rate after HCC resection.Methods:Two hundred patients underwent triple phase helical CT with 5 mm thick section scan.All the patient was prepared for operation after dual phase helical CT.For thriple phase helical CT,hepatic arterial phase (HAP) and portal venous phase (PVP) and delayed phase (DP) scaning began 24～25,45～50 and 120～180 sec,respectively,after intravenous 1.5ml/kg nonionic contrast material injection at a rate of 3ml/sec. Lesion detectability and conspicuity were studied among these three protocols by three radiologists with network imaging workstations of PACS by software the Radworks TM 5.1.Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization were undergone some days after CT scan.Results:There were 270 micro nodules(10mm) in 54 patients.The sensitivity was 91.85%(248 of 270) at HAP, 85.56%(231 of 270) at PVP, 88.89% (240 of 270) at DP,and 80 74%(218/270) in DSA.The CT characteristics were iso and hypodense in unenhanced scan,hyper and isodense in HAP,hyper iso or hypodense in PVP,iso or hypodense in DP.Conclusion:The HAP and DP were the best methods in detecting the micro-nodules of HCC. However, some nodules were detected only with the PVP and DP images. Therefore, all three phases scan are recommended for detection of micro nodules of HCC." @default.
