- W2357408335 abstract "In order to improve the efficiency of wastewater treatment,hydrodynamic cavitation was used in conjunc-tion with Fenton reaction in the treatment of wastepaper pulp industrial effluents.The effects of different parameters of orifice plate,such as diameter of orifice,flow area(β) and cavitation number(Cv),on total organic carbon(TOC) mineralization were studied.The results show that under the same flow area,the cavitation intensity will increase when the diameter of orifice decreases.The system with orifice cross layout can produce more uniform cavitation cloud and has better treatment effect than that with radial layout.Reducing the Cv will increase the intensity of cavita-tion,but decrease the volume of cavitation cloud.For different kinds of wastewater,there are different critical Cv.When the actual Cv is larger than the critical Cv,the cavitation effect increases when β decreases.However,when the actual Cv is smaller than the critical Cv,there will be a best value of β.Under experiment conditions,the system with 96×1 orifice cross layout and Cv =0.79 has the maximal rate constant and shortest half life,and up to 66.86% TOC is highly effective in the treatment of such effluents." @default.
