- W2357433161 abstract "The nano-HZSM-5 catalyst was prepared and characterized by XRF, TEM, NH 3-TPD and so on. The performance of nano-HZSM-5 and micro-HZSM-5 catalysts for aromatization and isomerization of n-octane and 1-octene was evaluated. The influence of reaction conditions on the selectivity for both C 7～C 9 aromatics and C 4～C 6 iso-paraffins over nano-HZSM-5 catalyst was investigated, and the reaction mechanism was also analyzed. The results indicated that the nano-HZSM-5 catalyst exhibited higher catalytic activity and better durability than micro-HZSM-5 because of its small crystal size, more acidic centers at porthole and external surface, and shorter micropore, which increased the diffusion rate of large molecules and decreased the influence of coking on aromatization, alkylation and isomerization. Hydrocarbons were converted mainly into aromatics and iso-paraffins, which have high octane value, by isomerization, aromatization, alkylation and so on. Under the conditions of WHSV=2 h -1 , p=0.1 MPa and θ=370 ℃, the total yields of iso-paraffins and aromatics were 88% and 93% when n-octane and 1-octene were used as reactant, respectively, and the selectivity for C 4～C 6 iso-paraffins and C 7～C 9 alkyl-aromatics was more than 80% and 70% over nano-HZSM-5, respectively. The conversion of n-octane and 1-octene over the HZSM-5 catalyst followed the carbonium ion mechanism." @default.
