The evolution of the editions of his works was rather complicated. The compilation and printing of The Collected Edition of Wen Yiduo is of multiple values. It has sampling significance in the history of Chinese modern literature and of Chinese modern learning as well as in the history of the spiritual development of the Chinese modern intellectuals.
