- W2358030940 abstract "Objective To explore the significance of four routine blood parameters, including red cell distribution width (RDW), mean red cell volume (MCV), mean platelet volume (MPV) and platelet distribution width (PDW) in the diagnosis of hepatic fibrosis. Method 303 cases with viral hepatitis were divided into 4 groups: acute hepatitis (AH) group, chronic hepatitis (CH), hepatitis liver cirrhosis (LC) group and serious hepatitis (SH) group. In the control group there were 16 healthy persons. The routine blood parameters of 303 cases with viral hepatitis and 16 healthy persons were measured with automatic blood cell counter. In the 179 patients, the serum contents of hyaluronic acid (HA) and laminin (LN) were detected with radioimmunoassay and the splenic length (SPL) and splenic thickness (SPT) were measured with Ultrasound using the method of color doppler ultrasound examination. Result The parameter RDW in chronic hepatitis (CH) group, hepatitis liver cirrhosis (LC) group and serious hepatitis (SH) were markedly higher than that in the control group. The parameter MCV in chronic hepatitis (CH) and hepatitis liver cirrhosis (LC) group were notably higher than that in the control group. However, the parameter MPV and PDW showed no significant difference between the patients and the control group. In patient with viral hepatitis, the RDW showed a positively linear correlation with HA, LN, SPT and SPL. Conclusion The RDW parameter has clinical significance in the diagnosis of hepatic fibrosis." @default.
