- W2358072110 abstract "Objectives:To evaluate microlaparoscopic herniotomy for indirect inguinal hernia in children.Methods:The clinical data of 72 cases were analyzed retrospectively,58 cases had unilateral indirect inguinal hernia,and 14 cases had bilateral indirect inguinal hernia,9 cases had contralateral latent hernia in the unilateral hernias.Results: The operation was successful in all of the 72 cases.The mean operation time was 10 min in unilateral indirect inguinal hernia,16 min in bilateral indirect inguinal hernia.and the hospitalization after operation was two days.No complication occurred in these cases.No recurrence was found at a followed 3～12 months. Conclusions:Microlaparoscopic herniotomy resulted in smaller incision,short operative duration,speedy recovery and no recurrence,the contralateral latent hernia could be explored and managed similarly . The procedure is worth being promoted clinically ." @default.
