- W2359308500 abstract "Objective:To understand mental health levels of second-birth parturients and offer a basis for improving their mental health.Methods:44 rural second-birth maternals were selected as second-birth group,whereas 84 single-birth maternals were chosen as single-birth group.The mental health statuses were evaluated by self-reporting inventory and then compared with domestic norm.Questions worried by the parturients of the two groups before and after delivery were investigated and analyzed through self-designed questionnaire.Results: Total scores of the self-reporting inventory and factor scores like anxiety,depression,horror,and compulsion of the two groups before and after the delivery were all higher than those of the norm;moreover,those of second-birth group were higher than those of single-birth group(P0.05 or 0.05).Detection rates of worrying about birth process and postpartum lactating of single-birth group were obviously higher than those of second-birth group(P0.01).The detection rates of worrying about children health and gender before the delivery,and worrying about children gender and family economic problems after the delivery in second-birth group were significantly lower than those in single-birth group(P0.01).Conclusions: There are many rural maternal psychological problems,especially for the second-birth maternals,which were mainly social problems and should be attended." @default.
