- W2359384961 abstract "A number of volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) Pb-Zn deposits are found in Keketal belt, north Xinjiang. This paper provides a comprehensive discussion on the applications of geology, geophysics and geochemistry to the Pb-Zn exploration. The geological evaluation is focused on the recognition and mapping of ore-bearing horizons, acidic volcanic phase, exhalites and alteration. The transient electromagnetic method (TEM) has successfully identified the location of ore bodies for several deposits. Combination of stream-sediment geochemistry (1 to 50000 scale), the soil geochemistry, and the lithogeochemistry of drilling cores provides a useful set of vectors to VMS mineralization. Acorring to three-step program and key methods for successful exploration of VMS deposits in Keketal belt is summarized." @default.
