- W2359386989 abstract "Degradation of fluoranthene and benz[a]pyrene by potassium ferrate was researched,and characterized by means of multiple fluorescence and polarized fluorescence modes. Especially,the relationships and changes of each degradation system' s multi-wavelength mode and degree of polarization,excitation emission matrix( EEM) and polarized excitation emission matrix( PEEM)were discussed emphatically. The kinetics' fitting equations of each degradation were directly obtained through time-scan fluorescence mode. According to the experimental results, every fluorescence mode' data has shown that potassium ferrate has obvious degradation on bothfluoranthene and benz[a]pyrene,and the fluorescence intensity' s chang has good agreement with each other within the degradation. When the degradation time t 40 s,both fluoranthene / benz[a]pyrene-potassium ferrate systems had no obvious degradation,with no new fluorophore structures been produced during the whole of two degradations. The degradations of fluoranthene and benz[a]pyrene by potassium ferrate at different molar ratios including 1∶1,1∶4,4∶1 accorded with first-order kinetic equations. The degradation rate was inverse to initial fluoranthene and benz[a]pyrene mols,and fittings of the fluoranthene' degradation had better linear relations than benz[a]pyrene' s. benz[a]pyrene's degradation rate faster. Fluorescence can provide convenient and effective information within the PAHs' degradations,with multiple characterization modes. The results from multiple fluorescence mode were consistent with the molecular mechanism,benzo[a] pyrene molecules is easier to lose electrons and be degraded by Fe( Ⅵ) oxidation,because of its π electron density bigger than fluoranthene's." @default.
