- W2359897487 abstract "Objective To investigate the expression of PTEN and Ki-67 in ovarian epithelial carcinoma and their relationship with clinicopathologic factors and prognosis.Methods The expression of PTEN and Ki-67 in 64 cases of ovarian epithelial cancer, 30 benign tumors and 20 normal ovarian tissue were determined by S-P immunohistochemical method.Results The positive rate of PTEN in the ovarian cancer tissue was lower than in the normal and benign ovarian tissues. The expression level of PTEN in stage Ⅲ～Ⅳ group was lower than that of stage Ⅰ～Ⅱ group (P0.05); in poorly differentiated cancer (G3) was lower than well differentiated (G1-G2). Ki-67 expression trend was opposite to that of PTEN. No different expression of PTEN and Ki-67 among histological types or ages was found. In the ovarian cancer, negative correlation between expression of PTEN and Ki-67 was observed (r=-0.594). In univariate analysis, the expression of PTEN and Ki-67 were associated with survival rate. Conclusions PTEN expression in ovarian cancer was down-regulated. The expression level of PTEN and Ki-67 were associated with differentiation, clinic stage and survival. The relationship between PTEN and Ki-67 suggests that PTEN may suppress the tumor through down-regulate cell proliferation." @default.
