- W2360320379 abstract "The traditional iodine metric method used up to now to determine high concentration copper should be replaced by advanced spectrophotometry, however the spectrophotometric process can not yet be used to determine high concentration copper because its developers have high molar absorptivity. Thereby, in the present paper, high concentration copper is determined spectrophotometrically in a medium of HAc-NaAC(EDTA) where Cu(Ⅱ) can form a blue 1:1 coordination compound with EDTA, which can shelter the disturbance of zinc/aluminum, and of which the maximum absorption wavelength is λ=730 nm, molar absorptivity e=88.9. The Beer’s law is obeyed in the range of 12～ 24 mg/50 mL for copper, the linear regression equation is A=0.035 4+0.023 17c (mg/50 mL), with a linear correlation coefficient of 0.999 5. This proposed method has been successfully applied to the determination of copper with satisfactory results, and posesses a good prospect for development and application, especial in the laboratories of median to miniature enterprises where measuring equipments are usually quite simple." @default.
