- W2360488766 abstract "Objective To study the risk factors of hyperhomocysteinemia(HHe) in ischemic stroke patients.Methods This is a retrospective study.Ischemic stroke patients(n=690) were classified based on homocysteine concentrations,and therefore were divided into patients with HHe group (n=329) and patients without HHe group (n=361).Age,gender,symptoms,signs,history of cigarettes smoking,drinking,hypertension and diabetes,plasma homocysteine,folate,vitamin B12,total cholesterol and triglyeride concentrations were recorded and compared between the two groups.Logistic regression was used for statistical analysis.Results Parameters such as gender,Age,smoking index,folate and vitamin B12 concentrations were tested by the logistic regression model.[OR=2.279 (95%CI1.498～3.524),OR=1.039(95%CI1.022～1.056),OR=1.001(95%1.000～1.001),OR=0.830(95%CI0.786～0.876),OR=0.998(95%CI0.997～0.999)].Conclusion Male,old age,smoking,lowered folate and vitamin B12 concentrations are independent risk factors for HHe in ischemic stroke patients." @default.
