- W2360499890 abstract "Objective:To observe the complications at iliac crest bone graft donor sites for anterior cervical decompression and analyze the facts Method:Sixteen cases of cervical injury and cervical spondylosis were operated for anterior cervical decompression and fusion with autogenous bone graft of iliac crest The skin incision begins 2～3cm behind the anterior superior spine of the ilium and arches backwards The graft bone was taken as a block which included both cortices The drainage semitube was placed for twenty four to forty eight hours A firm bandage was applied over gauze dressings for two to three days Usually the patient may be allowed out of bed with cervical brace after twenty four hours Result:All patients were followed up for an average of 15 4 months(ranged 6～84 months) Severe complications at donor site occurred in 3 cases(18 8%) Conclusion:The complications at iliac crest bone graft donor sites for anterior cervical fusion would affect the patient’s work and life significantly Operative technique,new operative method and new material for anterior cervical decompression should be considered highly in clinic" @default.
