- W2360947637 abstract "This paper aims at bringing about an experimental study on the impact of the chloride inhibitor upon the limit parameters of coal spontaneous combustion as a result of using the inhibition technology for preventing coal spontaneous combustion. The so-called effects of self-combustion inhibitor upon the limited parameters of coal spontaneous combustion are of great significance, for example, the effects of KCl,Ca Cl2,Mg Cl2 and Na Cl on the limit parameters of coal spontaneous combustion we have detailedly investigated in this study. It is known that we have successfully conducted the oxidation experiments under the temperature-programmed conditions in hoping to disclose the needed concentration of the gaseous oxidation products( especially O2,CO,and CO2),and the temperatures of the oxidized coal at different temperatures. Based on the data we have gained from our experiments,we have worked out the oxygen consumption and the releasing rate of CO and CO2,and their intensity of heat release. Furthermore,we have also determined the limit parameters of coal spontaneous combustion and resistance rate of inhibitors to be needed. The experimental results indicate that the inhibitors of chlorides are in a position to effectively reduce the oxygen consumption rate, the intensity of the heat release, and the production of CO and CO2 of coal saponaceous combustion at the low temperatures. Among four kinds of chlorides we have tested,Mg Cl2 can be regarded as the most effective for inhibiting the spontaneous combustion of the high volatile bituminous coal whereas the spontaneous combustion of the long flame coal is significantly depressed by Ca Cl2. In this study, the highest average resistance rates of Mg Cl2 and Ca Cl2 for coal spontaneous combustion have been worked out at about 63. 6% and 45. 9%,respectively. At the same time,we have also found that the average resistance rate of the chlorides for the coal spontaneous combustion tends to be proportional to the changing rate of the limited parameters. Nevertheless,it proves true that the maximal changing rate of the limited parameters can be observed for the high volatile bituminous coal gas when the coal samples were pretreated by Mg Cl2,though the maximal changing rate of the limiting parameters can be obtained on the condition when Ca Cl2 was used as the inhibitors for the long flame coal. From the point of view of on the inhibiting capacity, the effectiveness of the four kinds of tested chloride from high to low can be shown as: Mg Cl2,KCl,Ca Cl2,Na Cl for the high volatile bituminous coal, whereas the descending order for the long flame of coal self-combustion to short one should be expressed as Ca Cl2,Mg Cl2,KCl,Na Cl." @default.
