- W2361061639 abstract "Objective To evaluate the efficacy of paclitaxel combined with concurrent thoracic irradiation on non small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods Forty patients with stage ⅢB Ⅳ NSCLC were randomly divided into two groups.In RT+CT group,18 patients received induction treatment consisted of four cycles of paclitaxel (30～40 mg/m 2) plus carboplatin (40 mg/m 2)and concurrent with thoracic irradiation 60～70 Gy fractioned into 30～35 times 5 times every week.In CT group,22 patients were treated with paclitaxel (130 mg/m 2) plus carboplatin (70～80 mg/m 2) of two courses and no irradiation.Results The overall CR+PR rate was 66.7% in RT+CT group,and 31.8% in CT group,respectively (P0.05).In the CT+RT group,the toxicity mainly was radiation esophagitis and radiation pneumonia,the hematologic toxicity was lower than that in CT group.Conclusion Low dose Paclitaxel concurrent with radiotherapy can enhance the therapeutic effect on NSCLC and the patients can tolerate the toxicity." @default.
