- W2361674519 abstract "The adsorption of tea polyphenols and caffeine from their mixture in aqueous solution by three commercially available polymeric adsorbents,ADS-5、ADS-8 and ADS-17,was studied.The adsorption capacity of polyphenols by ADS-8,a weak polar adsorbent,was highest among the three adsorbents.Adsorption selectivity of polyphenols from the mixture solution increased with the polarity increasing of the three adsorbents(ADS-5ADS-8ADS-17).These results indicated that the driven forces for the adsorption of polyphenols may include hydrophobic interaction and hydrogen bonding,while the adsorption of caffeine was driven by hydrophobic interaction alone.Based on the studies above,macroporous aminomethyl polystyrnene resins with various crooslinking degrees(8%～26% DVB) were synthesized.The resins contain hydrophobic matrix and amino groups which can form strong hydrogen bonds with phenol hydroxyl groups.The adsorption of the mixture of polyphenols and caffeine in aqueous solution indicated that these resins had much higher adsorption capacities and selectivity for polyphenols.The macroporous aminomethyl polystyrnene resin with 10% crooslinking degree had highest adsorption capacity and that with 22% crooslinking degree had highest adsorption selectivity for polyphenols." @default.
