- W2362336697 abstract "Object: At present, the therapies for AMS all have toxic and side effects. In order to develop an anti-hypoxic and anti-fatigue beverage, we investigated the survival time of mice under the normobaric hypoxia as well as the swimming time under the normobaric condition. Methods and Results: 1. The mice were administered red tea and green tea for 7 days, respectively, before the test was carried out. The survival time of the red tea group was slightly but not statistically significantly increased compared with that of the control group. The survival time of mice in the green tea group was significantly longer than that of the control group (p 0.05). Mice that were administered 1.5 g · kg -1 green tea survived the longest in all the groups. 2. A complex tea drink prepared with green tea powder, Vitamin C, electrolytes of potassium and sodium, sugar and citric acid was administered to mice for 7 days and the survival time was tested. The survival time of the tea beverage group was significantly longer than the control group (p 0.05). 3. The swimming time of mice administered the tea beverage was significantly longer than that of mice in the control group. The beverage decreased the consumption of glycogen and the level of serum urea nitrogen. Also the tea beverage inhibited the augment of lactic acid in blood caused by swimming, and accelerated the elimination of the increased lactic acid in blood. These findings indicated that the complex tea beverage is able to serve as an anti-fatigue. 4. The tea effervescent tablet is easy to be accepted because of its light weight, small size, easy taking and use, healthfulness and long quality-assurable time, and so on. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that the tea effervescent tablet is capable of serving as an anti-fatigue and anti-hypoxic food. This beverage can improve working capacity, which may be related to the antioxidant and diuresis actions of tea and the beneficial effects of vitamin and electrolytes of potassium and sodium." @default.
