- W2362556095 abstract "Objective To explore the changes of erythropoietin-producing hepatoma line A2 (EphA2) in spinal cord after chronic spinal cord compression in rats.Methods Adult female Wistar rats(n=40) weighing 280～320 g were randomly divided into 4 groups,laminectomy was performed in rats of control group(n=10).Rats in injury groups(n=30) were drilled at the root of spinous process of T_(10),then plastic screw was screwed by degrees,the dorsal spinal cord was compressed,models of mild,moderate and severe spinal cord injuries were made.The slices of spinal cord tissues of 5 mm from the edge of compression margin were used to observe EphA2 positive cells by in situ hybridization.Results Laminectomy group had no EphA2 positive cells; EphA2 positive cells were located in gray matter of spinal cord in injury groups,especially in large motor neurons in anterior horn.The numbers of EphA2 positive cells were significantly higher in injury groups than in laminectomy groups(P0.01) and higher in moderate and severe injury groups than in mild injury group(P0.05),but no difference was found between moderate and severe injury groups(P0.05).Conclusion EphA2 is upregulated in spinal cord after chronic spinal cord compressive injury." @default.
