- W2363191262 abstract "Objective To observe general prostate pathological characteristics by transrectal ultrasound perfusion imaging and to tell the differences between benign and malignant prostate alterations.Method The pathological alterations in 30 patients with elevated PSA were observed using a new CPS imaging technology combined with SonoVue imaging reagent during the ultrasound perfusion. The puncture was implemented at the region with contrast suspicious, and conventional puncture was performed at 6 points. Results In 15 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia, an enhanced perfusion was first appeared in the inner gland capsule and urethra, then occurred in the inner gland, and the last in the envelope of the external gland; However, the regression order was opposite in the patients: from the external gland to inner gland to the capsule of the inner gland, and finally to the peripheral zone of the urethra. In 6 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia nodules, the perfusion course was homogeneously enhanced and was more than that in the surrounding tissue with a clear boundary and envelope; while the fading course was the same as the inner gland surrounding tissue. In 5 cases of diffuse prostate cancer, the perfusion was enhanced as a whole, and it was and uneven; the boundary between the inner and external gland was not so clear. The perfusion manner in 2 of 4 focal external gland cancer cases was rapid progression, but slow regression;in other 2 cases, perfusion was similar with the surrounding tissues, but it faded earlier than the surrounding tissues, the perfusion in both cases were belong tosame progression, but regression. Conclusion Although the perfusion of benign prostate lesions through transrectal ultrasound contrast was homogenously enhanced, the boundary within and outside the gland was clear ; whereas the contrast-enhanced ultrasound perfusion in malignant prostate lesions was disorder, clutter, enhanced, and the boundary within and outside the gland was not so clear. Thus, ultrasound perfusion imaging showed a distinct regularity between benign and malignant prostate lesions and could serve as one of the effective ways as differential diagnosis of the disease." @default.
