- W2363263898 abstract "Objective To evaluate the effect of radiotherapy on stage Ⅱ～Ⅲesophageal cancer with conventional fraction dose 5-day-per-week and 7-day-per-week and late course accelerated hyperfraction.Methods From Feb.1999 to Jun.2002 92 patients with stage Ⅱ～Ⅲesophageal cancer were divided into 2 groups: the 5-day-per-week group (group A,46 patients) and the 7-day-per-week group and late course accelerated hyperfraction group (group B,46 patients).Patients in the A group received a total dose of 60～70 Gy/30～35 fraction/40～47 days,and the B group received a total dose of 60～70 Gy/30～35 fraction/30～35 days.Results The 1-year survival rates of the group A and B were 32.6%、67.4%(P0.05).The 1- year local tumor control rates of the two groups were 34.8%、71.7%(P0.05).The 3-year survival rates of the group A and B were 6.5%、 43.5%(P0.05).The 3- year local tumor control rates of the two groups were 17.4%、56.5%(P0.05).StageⅡ～Ⅳof the aute esophigitis massive hemorrhage of the two group were 13.0%、47.8%(P0.05).The massive hemorrhage of the two groups were 4.2%、6.3%(P0.05).Conclusion The 7～day～per～week and the late course accelerated hyperfraction radiotherapy can improve the local tumor control rate and survival rate of stage Ⅲ esophageal cancer.Radiation-induced esophigitis is more common in the accelerated hyperfraction group." @default.
