- W2363637983 abstract "Objective The study is to investigate the factors associating with renal function after status epilepticus(SE),so as to provide clues for preventing renal failure caused by SE.Methods 45 cases of status epilepticus from 44 patients were retrospectively analyzed.The factors which may influence renal function,such as types and duration of SE and serum uric acid(UA) and serum creatinine(CRE) immediately avilable when SE occured.Serum creatinkinase(CK) and muscle hemoglobin in serum or urine was further analyzed when met renal disfunction.Results According to different types of SE,two groups were divided.One was generalized convulsions SE(GCSE),35 cases;the other was partial SE(PSE),10 cases.There were 9 cases in GCSE group that lasted less than 1 hour,26 cases lasted more than 1h.Meanwhile,2 cases in PSE group that lasted less than 1h and 8 cases lasted more than 1h.There was no statistical significance when compaired GCSE group with PSE group in term of duration.The average serum CRE was 83.9±48.3μmol/L in GCSE,that was 63.7±25.0μmol/L in PSE.Theer was no statistical significance(p=0.087).The average serum UA was 417.6±276.3μmol/L in GCSE,that was 300.6±80.7μmol/L in PSE.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(p=0.033).There were 4 renal disfunction cases,one was definite rhabdomyolysis(RM),one was probable,two was indefinite.3 of them accompanied with hyperuricaemia.Conclusion Different types and duration of SE do not affect renal function.Cases with renal disfunction which may be caused by rhabdomyolysis,are all in GCSE.GCSE but PSE is more likely to accompany with hyperuricaemia." @default.
