- W2363674292 abstract "By using daily precipitation data from 159 stations in the Huaihe river basin during 1971-2009,the amount of annual rainfall is calculated for every station,then the characteristic of rainfall in the Huaihe river basin is analyzed by trend analysis,EOF,wavelet analysis,Mann-Kendall test and so on.The results show the following: The distribution of the average rainfall during 1971-2000 correspondes to the distribution of the frequency.The rainfall is heavy in southwestern part of the basin.The distribution of rainfall in terms of amount and frequency takes on in a unimodal form and appears mostly in July.The trend of rainfall ascends in most areas,but the significance test in these areas is not past.The cumulative percent variance of the first three modes of EOF reaches 84%.The values of the first mode of EOF are plus everywhere and indicate that the distributions of rainfall are consistent in the whole basin.The values of the second mode of EOF are plus in south but minus in north indicating that the distributions of rainfall in south area are contrary to those in north area.The values of the third mode of EOF are plus in west but minus in east indicating that the distributions of rainfall in east area are contrary to those in west area.The main period of rainfall is 2~3 years and 12~14 years.The rainfall experiences three circulations on 12～14 years time scale.The rainfall probably mutated around 2000 and the annual average rainfall from 2000 to 2009 is higher by 52mm than that from 1971 to 1999." @default.
