- W2364288034 abstract "Objective To analyze the pathogenic species, drug sensitivity and clinical characteristics of patients with chemotherapy concurrent sepsis in childhood hematologic malignancies,in order to instruct the rational use of drug in clinical practice.MethodsThe researc-hers reviewed pathogenic species and drug sensitivity of 65 cases with septic children who had positive blood culture and 55 controls with fever after chemotherapy who did not have sepsis. This study analyzed absolute neutrophil count(ANC) of fevering, duration of ANC and prognosis.ResultsMain pathogens of chemotherapy with concurrent sepsis in childhood hematologic malignancies were Gram-negative bacilli(52 cases),including pseudomonas aeruginosa(20 cases),klebsiella pneumoniae(12 cases),escherichia coli(11 cases),stenotrophomonas maltophilia(4 cases),enterobacter(3 cases) and salmonella(2 cases).Meropenem was the most sensitive antibiotics to Gram-negative bacteria.Otherwise, sulfamethoxazole was the most drug-resistant antibiotics to Gram-negative bacteria.Gram-positive cocci were 13 cases, which were staphylococcus aureus(3 cases),coagulase negative staphylococcus(7 cases) and enterococcus(3 cases).Vancomycin was the most sensitive antibiotics to Gram-positive bacteria.Otherwise, penicillin and erythromycin were the most drug-resistant antibiotics to Gram-positive bacteria.Sepsis occurred at greater risk when ANC was0.5×109 L-1 or duration of ANC more than 7 days.In sepsis group,7 children suffered septic shock and had poor prognosis. In the control group, children had normal body temperature after treatment.ConclusionsMain pathogen of chemotherapy with concurrent sepsis in childhood hematologic malignancies is Gram-negative bacteria.Sepsis is often associated with ANC and duration of ANC.J Appl Clin Pediatr,2011,26(6): 412-414" @default.
