- W2364439310 abstract "The survival and infection process of the white muscardine fungus, Beauveria bassiana on the Masson’s pine caterpiller, Dendrolimus punctatus in several artifical or natural environments, were observed with scanning electron microscope.Morphological changes in the process of conidium germination and formation of hypha were described. Relationship between pathological effect and environmental condition, and application technique in forest, were discussed. The results showed that: in the condition of 25℃～RH95%, condia could germinate quickly and had high germination rate and penetration rate; relative humidity above 85% was required for occurring white muscardine disease, which was restriction factor on control effcet in natural environment; it was not appropriate to release the fungus in early winter in the region where Dendrolimus punctatus occurs 2～3 generations per year, and releasing in late June was better." @default.
