- W2364504251 abstract "Objective To evaluate critical neonatal transport mode and method in Longgang district in Shenzhen, and to reduce mortality rate of newborn infants. Methods Clinical data of 256 critical newborns transferred to our hospital were studied retrospectively. Mortality rate of newborns in Longgang district before and after the establishment of neonatal transport system in our hospital was analyzed. Results One way distance of transportation was 10～60 km, and the round trip time was half to two hours. In 256 transferred newborns, 252 cases were transferred successfully(98.4% ), 198 case were cured(93.8% ), 13 cases died(5.1% )and no eases died on the way to hospital. The mortality rate of newborn infants in Longgang district decreased from 10.54‰ in 2000 to 4.84%‰ in 2004. Conclusions With the support of NICU and professional staffs, NETS(newborns transport system) is suitable for the transportion of critical newborns in our district." @default.
