- W2364697005 abstract "A series of side-chain cholesteric-liquid crystalline polymers(P0～P5) containing carboxyl group were synthesized by graft copolymerization with 4-allyloxybenzoylcholeseterate(Mch) and 4-(10-undecen-1-yloyloxy) benzoic acid(Mc).Their mesomorphic properties and phase behavior were investigated with differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),polarized optical micrograph(POM) and optical rotation measurement.The results show that Tg,Ti and specific rotation decrease comparing polymers(P1～P5) with carboxyl group and polymer(P0) without carboxyl group obviously,however,the type of cholesteric liquid crystalline phase is not changed.The Tg decreases continuously and Ti increases with increasing the content of Mc in polymers.The liquid crystalline phase range expands in the presence of Mc in the polymers." @default.
