- W2364752611 abstract "It's certain that the decline of Huishang (an abbreviation of in Chinese) is related with factors such as great change of contemporary policies,exterior social environment,and so on. However,those external factors are not so crucial as to break down the originally prosperous merchants bloc. In this article,the author considers the main cause of Huishang's decline lies in three factors. Firstly,the values of the bloc perfers Confucianism(a theory which lays stress on ethic,education,benevolence and so on) to commerce. Secondly,Hui culture and Huizhou society turned to a close from the previous opening-up. Thirdly,the merchants bloc is highly feudalistic. All of the three factors constitutes the internal causes of the decline of Huizhou merchants." @default.
