- W2364763762 abstract "The bionomics of the pathogen of northern corn leaf spot (Bipolaris carbonum Wilson) in relation to temperature,pH,light and carbon and nitrogen sources were systematically determined.The temperature range was 5~40 ℃ for the mycelia growth of the pathogen and 10～35 ℃ for its sporulation,25 ℃ being the optimum,with a colony diameter of 62 mm and a sporulation of 1.04×105 spores/mL.The pathogen could grow and sporulate with a pH of 2～12,while the optimal pH was 7.0 for mycelia growth (the colony diameter being 35.3 mm) and 8 for sporulation,being 2.06×105 spores/mL.Alternate light and darkness was good for sporulation,and light hardly affected the growth of fungus mycelium.The pathogen could use monosaccharide,disaccharide,polysaccharide and organic and inorganic nitrogen.The best mycelia growth was observed with lactose as the carbon source and glycine as the nitrogen source,and the best sporulation was achieved with D-xylose as the carbon source and beef extract as the nitrogen source." @default.
