- W2364768428 abstract "Taking a MSWI in the Pearl River Delta as an example, the relationship between airborne metals in the surroundings of the incinerator and incinerator flue gas was examined using correlation analysis and principal component analysis. Based on the dominant wind direction information, 98 environmental TSP samples together with 9 incinerator flue gas samples were collected. Concentrations of the metals(μg · m-3) in TSP were Fe(0.766～19.551)Zn (0.791～1.833) Mn (0.431～1.014) Pb (0.263 ～ 0.626) Cu(0.054～0.578)Cr(0.057～0.180)Ni(0.030～0.106)Cd (0.017～0.044)As(0.009～0.014)Tl(0.002～0.004).The relevant values (μg · m-3) of the incinerator flue gas were Zn(90～4570)Ni(4～3510)Cr(2～650)Cu(5～1380)Pb(25～430)Cd(2～53)Tl (0.1～3). Spatial variations of the elements listed above were investigated and the results showed that despite the distance from the MSWI, anthropogenic activities (such as agricultural activities) have made some contributions to the contents of the heavy metals in the ambient air. The correlation analysis and principle component analysis results showed that the correlation of heavy metals concentration between MSWI flue gas and ambient environmental TSP were more than 0.81 (p0.05). It was concluded that the MSWI had a direct contribution to the increase of the heavy metal contents in the surrounding air." @default.
