- W2364961009 abstract "The Zhixin Basin is located in Yanbian District, Jilin Province of Northeast China . In Yanbian District, the Dalazi Formatiom of the Lower Cretaceous continental sediments are developed and yield abundant fossils. These important fossils are called “Jehol Biota”. The famous biota consists of “ Manchurichys Trigonioides Yanjiestheria Coptoclava ”. Abundant sporopollen of about 91species referred to 36 genera and a lot of acritarchs (2 species of 1 genus) were discovered from the Upper Member of the Dalazi Formation in the Zhixin Basin. They are grouped into the Classopollis Cicatricosisporites assemblage (not including acritarches) and have the following palynological characteristics . (1)This assemblage contains some pteridophytic spores (8%—10%) and rich gymnospermous pollen grains, and no angiospermous pollen grain have been found. (2) Among the gymnospermous components, the genus Classopollis (74%—80%) is the most predominant , including C. annulatus, C. classoides, C. cf. giyangensis, C. meyeriana, C. triangulus, C. tristriatus, C. sp., etc. Of them the species C.classoides amounting to 68%—77% of the total. The azonaletes pollen grains (5%—7%) are nearly as many as disaccates Coniferae (5%), The former mainly contains Psophosphaera and Araucariacites and the latter mainly contains Abietineaepollenites , Pinuspollenites, Pityosporites, Protopinus, Piceaepollenites, Piceites, Cedripites, Platysaccus, Podocarpidites, Pseudowalchia . The saccizonati pollen grains including Callialasporites (0.5%—1%), Cerebropollenites (1%—4%), Jiaohepollis and as well as Perinopollenites, Chasmatosporites, Cycadopites, Ephedripites are low in abundance. (3) Among the pteridophytic components, the spores of Lygopodiaceae comprise 4 genera , dominant in content , including Lygodiumsporites, Cicatricosisporites, Toroisporis and Klukisporites . Of them the genus Cicatricosisporites (5%—7%) is higher in content , including such species as C. angustus, C. bellus, C. cuneiformis, C. imbricatus, C. cf. myrtellii, C. nankingensis, C. cf. nankingensis, C. perforatus, C. proxiradiatus, C. pseudoaurifer, C. pseudocingulatus, C. pseudotripartitus, C. sibiricus, C. splendidus, C. subrotundus and C. sp. And the others are less than 0.5% including Cyathidites, Deltoidospora, Cibotiumspora, Hsuisporites, Densoisporites, Schizaeoisporites, Granulatisporites, Cyclogranisporites, Verrucosisporites, Conignisporites and Brevilaesuraspora . Above mention data show that (1) most genera and species of pteridophytic spores bear a strong aspect of middle to late Early Cretaceous, such as Lygodiumsporites japaniciforme, Cicatricosisporites angustus, Cicatricosisporites bellus, C. cuneiformis, C. imbricatus, C. nankingensis, C. proxiradiatus, C. pseudoaurifer, C. pseudocingulatus, C. pseudotriparticus, C. splendidus, C. subrotundus and Hsuisporites, Schizaeoisporites . (2) this palynoflora is characterized by fairly abundant Classopollis belonging to Cheirelepidiaceae . Recent Cheirelepidiaceae grows in the dry tropic, tropic subtropic climate zones, and does not occur in the tropical humid climate zone. In addition, the pteridophytic spores are few in number, which mostly grow in the tropic and subtropic zones, especially in the warm humid forest and marshland, where they grow very luxuriantly. So during the late stage of the Dalazi Formation sediments, the climate of Yanbian area, Jilin Province was warm and dry." @default.
