- W2365229640 abstract "A series of highly active catalysts for diesel deep hydrodesulfurization (HDS) were prepared by depositing Co-Mo bimetallic species on siliceous MCM-41 by a co-impregnation method.A high metal loading (w(MoO_3)=20%) was used in the preparation.The MCM-41-supported catalysts,compared with a commercial deep HDS catalyst on Japanese market,were evaluated in terms of HDS activity for dibenzothiophene (DBT),4-methyldibenzothiophene (4-MDBT),4,6-dimethyl-dibenzothiophene(4,6-DMDBT) or a high sulfur-containing straight-run diesel fraction (w__S=2.83%) as the feed.The Co-Mo/MCM-41 catalyst with a Co/Mo atomic ratio of 0.75 showed the best HDS performance.The Co-Mo/MCM-41 sulfide catalysts yielded more biphenyl (BP) than cyclohexyl benzene (CHB),indicating that the hydrogenolysis was predominant in the parallel reactions involved in HDS of DBT.The selectivity of BP changed little in the temperature range(280～340?℃) investigated,while that of CHB decreased and that of benzene and cyclohexane increased remarkably with the increase of reaction temperature,suggesting that CHB be unstable and decompose further to yield benzene and cyclohexane. The TPR patterns of these catalysts revealed that the interaction between Co and Mo species played an important role in determining the HDS activity of the Co-Mo/MCM-41 catalysts,featured with the new generated peak around 600℃ on the TPR pattern." @default.
