- W2365293156 abstract "Objective To investigate the relationships of pregnancy body mass index and level of serum nutrient elements and pregnancy outcomes. Methods 970 cases of pregnant women in the Fourth People's Hospital of Tongling City from March 2010 to May 2012 were selected and each pregnancy maternal body mass index( BMI) and venous serum nutrient levels were measured. Results The proportion of caesarean section in the mode of delivery of the group( BMI 24) was statistically different from the other groups( χ2= 12. 243,P =0. 042). The Logistic regression analysis showed that higher BMI index resulted into higher birth risk index( OR = 4. 111,95% CI: 1. 055～ 13. 425). And there was linear relationship between the postpartum hemorrhage and ferritin levels( r =- 1. 458,P = 0. 043 0. 05).Conclusions The BMI index affects not only the mode of delivery,but also the physical weight of the newborn. The fall of pregnancy serum ferritin could lead to the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage. The BMI index and pregnancy ferritin levels could affect the pregnancy outcomes." @default.
