- W2365617177 abstract "The cytotoxic effects of different concentrations of Ni~(2+) on the nucleolus structure in root cells of Phaseolus radiatus and Hordeum vulgarde were investigated by using the silver staining technique.The results indicated that the nucleolus in root tip cells of H.vulgare and P.radiatus were seriously damaged by treatments of Ni~(2+) at the concentration of 50 mg·L~(-1)～100 mg·L~(-1)for 24 h～72 h.The nucleolus were disintegrated and formed a large amount of nucleolar particles on the nucleus,and some silver stained particulates were extruded from the nucleus into the cytoplasm after 48 h treatment,the percentage of cell nucleolus abnormalities increased progressively.It is suggested that Ni~(2+) has a stronger toxic effects for nucleolus struture of H.vulgare than in P.radiatus." @default.
